I love to design my own quilt patterns and share them. I am a confessed lover of vintage and reproduction fabrics, my favorite thing to do is applique.

Starting the quilting on the Winterwood Quilt ! It is so exciting to get to this stage.

Basting was always a daunting part of quilt making that I rushed through, but now that I have found a way to baste while sitting down (without getting down on the floor, or standing for ages). I take my time to get the quilt basted, even enjoying the process.......

After a couple of hours in the afternoon and I now have the quilt basted, ready to start quilting. Rosie is keeping an eye on my progress.

 The fun begins.........

After stitching in the ditch around all the applique shapes. I decided to quilt random background designs of feathers, circles and spirals and whatever else comes to mind.

Your quilting is oh, so pretty, Sharon. I will never be able to do that on a domestic machine, so I better get another longarm soon! But I’m far away from getting that first block of Rambling Ways finished, let alone ready to quilt. LOL
