  • I love to design my own quilt patterns and share them. I am a confessed lover of vintage and reproduction fabrics, my favorite thing to do is applique.

Rambling Ways Benny's Garden Block

Benny's Garden Block/Pine Valley Quilts Rambling Ways Benny's Garden Block ! I have been working on the next block for the Rambling Ways BOM Quilt. I decided that calling the blocks by numbers is pretty boring, so I have named each block. The next block is called Benny's Garden Block. Benny is our Bengal cat, he love's being in the garden and often sits in the tree watching the birds!!!! He is well behaved and well fed so it's only play that he is interested in. I love the birds in the garden and at this time of year ( Spring/Summer) they are busy making nests and feeding on the pollen flowers. I also love birds in applique quilts, it took me a bit of practice to draw a decent bird for applique but I got there in the end and think this one's pretty cute. Benny's Garden Block/Pine Valley Quilts   Benny's Garden Block/Pine Valley Quilts   Benny's Garden Block/Pine Valley Quilts   Benny's Garden Block/Pine Valley Quilts More curlicues to play with in this block, lot's of leaves a bit smaller than the previous blocks. Berries, vines and just a couple of flowers for Benny. Benny's Garden block will be ready to download here. Happy Stitching Sharon

Lovely Sharon, i hope Benny doesn’t catch too many of those birds. I like applique blocks with pieced, multi fabric backgrounds, they add a bit more interest than just one fabric.
