I have been quilting since 1994 and try to sew every day. I have recently retired from neonatal nursing and thought I would have more time to quilt!. I do but there are still lots of other things that require my time. I love appliqué and love all of your work! Thanks for the giveaway!

I started to quilt 10 years ago in period that I had a lot of trouble. The dream my husband and I had was fallen into pieces. I was alone in Holland and my husband was in Sweden with my son. I could cry whole day but quilting helped to piece everything together! Now we are in a much better place and we hope to realise our dream some day!

What a lovely giveaway. I am just remodeling in my bedroom and want to do it in just these colors so I have to get going on some quilts in this color scheme. Yikes! I have been around sewing and quilting my whole life. I think since I could crawl. One grandmother was a seamstress and the other a quilter. I spent a lot of time with them and thank goodness they graciously shared their skills with me for a lifetime of enjoyment??‍?

Hello Sharon-love this beautiful kit-great colors!-a very generous giveaway! I started quilting in ernest in 2016 by joining a QAL. Before that, I had tinkered around with my version of a quilt, no rules to follow, I just went for it-not one of my best ideas, but I am happy with it. With 4 more QAL’s since then (I am really into paper-piecing & applique) – 2 completed, 2 to quilt, I have learned so much & have enjoyed making all of them. Hope to have enough quilts finished for gifts this Christmas!

I started quilting in 1989. The parent of one of my preschoolers was a quilter and the president of our guild. I love applique. I am working on your Simply Red Quilt right now. I would love the opportunity to win your Bluebird quilt kit.

I really love your Birds in a Bluebird Tree quilt! It is adorable. And blue is my fave color. Thank you for the chance to win a kit. My fingers and toes are crossed….
I started sewing when I was very, very young, but have only been quilting for a couple of years now. I have been teaching myself with the help of LOTS of generous online and on tv quilters. Blogs like yours, and PBS and YouTube are great. I have been trying to learn every technique I can. Wish international shipping wasn’t so expensive. You are incredibly generous. If I don’t win the kit…I will buy the pattern.
    :)

I started quilting after visiting TN and saw all the quilts in an antique shop. I said I think I can do this. So when I returned to Miami, FL where I lived at that time (1999) I looked for a quilt shop that gave lessons. I found one close to my home. The rest is history. I am now very interested in applique quilts. I find it very relaxing. I am now retired and have time to devote to my hobby.
    Thank you.

I started quilting in 2007 after I retired. My first quilt was a sampler made in red, white & blue for my daughter. Boy have I improved since that first effort. I became addicted right away and have made 100 quilts and probably have a 100 I would like to make. Applique quilts are my favorite, only wish they didn’t take so long to make. The fringe benefit of making quilts are all the wonderful friends you make.

After attending a Quilt Show in Auckland about 20 years ago I was simply blown away with all the wonderful techniques. After learning many of them I now enjoy trying new ways to make scrap quilts whilst trying to reduce the stash. Incredibily, it seems to make no difference., I simply love the blue kit you are giving away – my favourite colour and oh, heaps of techniques too,

What an incredibly generous thing to do. Thank you for the opportunity!
I have been quilting for a number of years, and I have to say that applique is my all time favourite. Needleturn being my method of choice. The colours I’m always drawn to are blues and greys so this is a perfect quilt for me! xo

Beautiful quilt. I started quilting about 20 years ago. While I was working, I quilted some. But, since I have retired, I like to quilt as much as possible. Life gets in the way, but I try to do some quilting everyday.

Beautiful quilt. Blue is my favourite colour. I’ve been sewing and crafting (including needlework) for about 50 years, but did not do much quilting until about 5 years ago and was an instant addict. lol. Thanks so much for sharing

I started quilting in 1981 after taking a community ed class and I haven’t quit yet. I still do a bit of hand quilting but because of tendinitis I am greatly limited in how much time I can spend on it. New techniques and ideas are great so I take classes whenever I can.

I was taught to sew by my mother and grandmother. I started quilting in 1993 and have been making quilts ever since then. I love to piece the quilts and the process is always fun! This blue and white quilt is fabulous. The fabrics are so pretty. Thank you for the giveaway.

My Mom introduced me to quilting and I’ve loved it ever since! I’ve collected fabric, patterns, etc…longer than I’ve been quilting. I’m just crazy about your blue quilt!

Started quilting when I retired and discovered that I could no longer see well enough to do counted cross stitch. Now I spend some time every day quilting. Particularly love applique. Cotton and wool.

I have loved sewing since I was a child, but only found quilting 6 years ago. My best friend had been trying to get me to try quilting for some time, and finally succeeded when she sold me her sewing machine… and it came with a free lesson in quilting from her. I’ve been hooked ever since! It’s the perfect antidote to a chaotic day with my young boys!

I started quilting while my husband was stationed in Hawaii. It was only natural for me to start with Hawaiian applique. I now love all things quilting — piecing, paper-piecing, free motion quilting — you name, I love it! Thank you for this opportunity!

I started quilting when my husband was stationed in Hawaii so it was obvious for me to start with Hawaiian applique. I now love any quilting — piecing, free motion, paper-piecing — pretty much all things quilting! Thanks for this opportunity!

Love this quilt! I have always been crafty and have been sewing all my life, but did not quilt until I retired 6 years ago. I am now addicted! I just pulled out your Breath of Spring pattern, and hope to start it today since it is the first day of spring. Thank you!

Love your quilt. So beautiful! I started quilting last year, I have always done cross stitch and embroidery and was getting into wool applique. Went to the quilt shop on wool days and e fed up taking a class. Still learning but just taking it slow.

I learned to sew when I was seven and helped cut fabric at my 2nd mothers quilting meetings but didn’t learn to quilt until my mother saw a sampler on a magazine cover back in the 70’s. I hand pieced and hand quilted a king size quilt for her and still have it. It amazes me how tiny my stitching was.

I made quilts off and on between then and about six years ago when I really jumped into it. Now I have a stash, books, the internet and my 26 year old sewing machine. I have a wonderful time sewing every day and always have more than one project going at a time.

    That is a lovely quilt!
I got introduced to quilting through a friend in 2002. Since then I am stitching , sewing, quilting as a way to slow down myself and to make gifts for others . My first quilt was an appliqué quilt with butterfies. It is still very precious to me , lol! Through a BOM by Gail Pan I startet stitching and since then, nearly all of my quilts have some applique or / and stitchery in it.

Lovely quilt. I started quilting in 1992. My first quilt was a baby quilt wallhanging for a coworker. Several of us made cross stitched blocks and I put it together. I went to the local quilt shop to buy supplies and when I saw all the fabric and classes I was hooked. I haven’t stopped since and have met a lot of really nic people.
