Making my Arrow Crown Block
I have been busy making my Arrow Crown Block. It has been so much fun, being able to choose and use the lovely fabrics in my own stash.
I have taken photos of my construction process for you, so you can see how this lovely block goes together.
The first step is to lay your block out in the order you would like. This helps with knowing where all your pieces go when you are sewing. I usually have this laid out by my machine as I am sewing.
Then I divide the block into sections, in this case I find the sections that will make this into a nine patch block. This is the first section that I sewed together. These are the flying geese sections in the center of the block.
I sewed all four of these sections together.
The next sections I sewed together were the half square triangle sections.
These sewn together form this unit. There are four of these units.
Next section to sew were the 1/2 square triangle units.
These sections create the four corners of the block.
Then you need to sew your sections together as you would a nine patch block.
