A lot has been happening in my sewing room this week. I have been playing with a selection of gorgeous fabrics mostly collected out of the scrap bin. Left overs from the basket quilt I have been making with a few more added in. What fun!!!
After making several basket blocks I thought it was time to decide on how to put the quilt together and came up with a traditional on point setting with sashing strips. The boders are yet to be revealed but just so you know I am having loads of fun planning and playing.
While making this quilt I had made quite a pile of scraps, that was what sparked an idea, so with the half square triangles that were left over I started randomly making blocks and came up with this little ditty quilt layout, I added some simple applique for good measure. Just the quilting to go on this one.
Well I could not stop there ! I had another idea log cabin blocks, well court house steps to be exact. I am still playing with these.......... too much fun!
Last but not least a little applique number.
Here is what Benny thinks of all this sewing going on.........LOL
Well thats it for me, I hope to have more quilty goodness to show you next week. I hope you like my little ditty quilts, keep a look out or sign up for the newsletter to see when the patterns will be available here at Pine Valley Quilts.
