  • I love to design my own quilt patterns and share them. I am a confessed lover of vintage and reproduction fabrics, my favorite thing to do is applique.

Home Again

Hello Everyone

I am settling into home life after being away for the last five weeks on an amazing trip with my two sons. We had such a great time together, I enjoyed every minute of it.

Ireland at Dinner with the boys

We had six wonderful nights in Paris. ( WOW ! what and amazing city ) I have come home full of inspiration.  While there I was lucky enough to visit Le Rouvrey Quilt shop.Having the boys to show me how to use the GPS on my phone so I could find my way around was great.

It was not the easiest shop to find, here is a picture of the sign with Derek standing underneath. Inside the shop is small, tastefully decorated with old quilts and beautiful French fabrics and reproduction fabrics. I was lucky enough to fit some of the lovely French fabrics in my suitcase.

We all loved the food in Paris and I took full advantage of the fact that I did not have to cook or clean for five whole weeks. ( Bliss)

Time to start cleaning my sewing room and get inspired to start on a project.

Happy Stitching

What a wonderful trip you had with your handsome sons!
I love the Le Rouvray shop. The Toile in the lower right corner looks like it would have a nice design for applique!

    Hello Margaret

Thank you for your lovely comment. I loved the shop and have the fabrics sitting on my desk so I can admire them all.
