I love to design my own quilt patterns and share them. I am a confessed lover of vintage and reproduction fabrics, my favorite thing to do is applique.

Fun with Half Square Triangles | Union Blues Quilt Pattern

Fun with Half Square Triangles. You can make so many interesting quilts with Half Square Triangles. I love how adorable they look sewn into squares.

I strip pieced a whole load of them with these gorgeous fabrics 'Union Blues' by Barbara Brackman. I am such a sucker for blue and cream fabrics. To press them I found it better to leave the strip pieced  blocks in tacked them clip them apart after I pressed each one. Fun with Half Square Triangles | Pine Valley Quilts I have piles of squares ready to sew together. It's a bleak day outside, but my sewing room is nice and cozy. Hi Leeanne

Union Blues is a beautiful range of blues and browns, I have also added a dark orange/rust in to give it a bit of pep. Some quilts get a grip on you and this is one of them haha. Thankfully the photo did not show the large scorch mark on my cover haha Great weather for quilting.

    Hi Linda
This quilt has a hold on me at the moment, I am piecing frantically to see how it works out! Love the fabrics a mix of blue, cream and brown and I have added a warm Rust/Orange in as well to make it more interesting.

Looking great Sharon, I look forward to seeing what you create with these cuties. I was thinking what a nice ironing board cover you had! It is a bleak day out, we had a hail storm here in the north.
