I love to design my own quilt patterns and share them. I am a confessed lover of vintage and reproduction fabrics, my favorite thing to do is applique.

The latest pattern added to the Pine Valley Quilts website is the Butterfly Runner. I so enjoyed making this easy pieced runner with fabrics designed by Blackbird designs ('Wild Flower') by Moda.

This gorgeous range of fabrics gave me the inspiration to make butterfly blocks. arranging them with sashing's to create a beautiful table runner for Spring.

Spring has arrived! In the garden the daffodils are flowering and there are lambs in the paddock. Such a beautiful time of the year, with the feel of warmer days to come.

Butterflies are always beautiful in the garden and we are fortunate to have an abundance of Monarchs in the warmer months. Although the Swan plants can be a menace prolifically growing and self seeding I always keep an area of them for the butterflies to eat.

Happy Stitching
