Basket of Tulips Block

Hello Everyone

It has been a while since I have done a post, and I do apologize for my absence. The last two months have been very full on.

This lovely basket of Tulips block is a pleasure to make. I have chosen a selection of background fabrics to compliment the basket and tulip fabrics.

As I was selecting the fabrics for my background. I  gave my fabric draws a good tidy up and put my background fabrics in order. It is always amazing how different the neutral fabrics are in colour. I have placed them in order of  tone.  As you can see there is quite a difference in the tone. This is quite important when matching these neutral tones to the colours you are selecting for the rest of your quilt. The first pieces I put together were the tricking little tulips, I learn't the hard way to make sure you have your pieces arranged the correct way before you start to sew. Until next time Happy Stitching Sharon
