Hello Everyone

I am excited about my next teaching  engagement. I am going to be teaching at the Epworth Retreat. November 10-11 2012.

Epworth Retreat is a wonderful relaxing retreat on the shores of lake Kapiro. I have been fortunate to go to this retreat over the last few years and have always enjoyed meeting fellow quilters and sharing with friends.

This year I will be sharing my techniques for applique, I am a self confessed lover of applique and as you have seen, my quilts never seem to be complete without it. Although there are one or two that I have refrained from adding applique to. I now do most of my applique be machine, but I love that it still has the look of hand work. I have taken the time to test various different applique techniques to get the look I prefer. I have then incorporated parts of these  and added my own tricks to create my preferred technique. I also have various tools that I use to create my applique. These tools make applique perfection easily achievable, without any special expertise.

Jackie and I will also have the Pine Valley Quilts shop at the retreat, we will have a good stock of supplies for the class and loads of other goodies for everyone.

These are the quilts I will be teaching.

I am also organizing my schedule for classes next year so if you have a group interested in one of my classes I am happy to organize a date to suit.
